#69: Hoes Before Toads
True to form for comic #69, Shawn delivers more of his hilarious ribald gaming humor! A real classic here, not for the kids! (Once again asking politely to not ask for an uncensored version of this strip – it does not exist.)
The Official Archives of Red Ring of Death, the most influential gaming webcomic of 2006, written and created by Shawn Tuckley.

The first edition of “Red Chicks of Death,” a Red Ring spinoff strip written by Shawn’s then-fiancé Dinah Lopez, circa 2006. A short lived series meant to appeal to female gamers, it would end in controversy after Shawn was accused of ghostwriting the strips.
Another incredible holiday classic from Shawn! Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!!
An absolutely ruthless and hilarious parody of modern music trends of the day – still holds up if you ask me!
Here’s another strip from this short lived series penned by Shawn’s then-girlfriend Dinah Lopez, which again many fans assumed was just Shawn writing under Dinah’s name to deflect criticism. Either way, a hilarious strip!
The first of a series of autobiographical strips chronicling Shawn’s trip to a comics convention, and a fascinating peek into Shawn’s daily life! So excited to share these with you all!!
The first time readers truly got a look into Shawn’s day to day life, this is a real treat!
Important historical note: this is the first, and not the last, instance of Shawn expressing his hatred for fellow cartoonist and Nippon Ultra author Bill “Leetko” Callahan. Great to see Shawn unafraid to express himself!
Shawn really did not have a pleasant experience sitting next to Mr. Callahan, which would lead him to some personal issues later in life. Still fun to see his typical acidic wit!
Shawn certainly met a lot of resistance to his bold & innovative gaming comics, but he always knew how to handle it! Hilarious!
